Brief History
1975 Japan Halon Co., Ltd. was founded as the first Halon 1301 producer in Japan. 1981 Licensed Halon technology to Great Lakes Chemical Corp. in USA. 1982 Started production of Perfluoroalkylethylene. 1985 Launched commercial production of Trifluoroethanol. 1985 Tetrafluoroethylene plant went on-line. 1988 Completed new research facility. 1990 Started production of Trifluoromethyluracil. 1993 Second Trifluoroethanol plant went on line. 1993 F-TECH, INC. adopted as new corporate identity. 1993 Discontinued Halon production. 1998 Registered ISO 9002. 1998 Completed a multipurpose plant for developmental products. 1998 F2 gas generator was installed 1998 Launched commercial production of Trifluoroethyl Methacrylate 2002 Expanded the multipurpose plant. 2002 Completed a new multipurpose plant for developmental products. 2002 TOSOH F-TECH, INC. adopted as new corporate identity.
